The husband-wife duo of Alyssa and Doug Graham were friends in grade school and from an early age shared an unlikely interest in Americana roots music. Their debut album, Riverman's Daughter, reflects this lifelong obsession, with Grammy-winning producer Malcolm Burn insisting that the duo perform the songs live in the studio, the way musicians like The Carter Family, Hank Williams, and Mississippi John Hurt did.

For their newest album, Glory Bound, and its live counterpart, Rattle the Hocks, the NYC-based duo set out in the summer of 2014, criss-crossing the country by train. After three long months riding lines like the Sunset Limited, the Southwest Chief, and the Heartland Flyer, they arrived in Memphis with 14 new songs inspired by the American rail.

Filmmaker and musician Cody Dickinson, of the North Mississippi Allstars had a vision to document the final stages of their journey; and to bring their new songs to life in live recordings throughout Mississippi, Tennessee and Louisiana.

"Rattle the Hocks" debuted at the 2015 Folk Alliance International conference in Kansas City.
