Nicki Parrott - The Look Of Love

Australian native Nicki Parrott's latest release from the Japanese label Venus Records is a collection of well-known theme songs of Hollywood movies.

Parrott, who spent over a decade with the late guitar legend Les Paul on Monday nights at Manhattan's Iridium, confirms herself as a top talent in her own right in this collection of standards by Bacharach and David, Lerner and Loewe, Arlen and Harburg, Glenn Miller, Jule Styne, Henry Mancini, Johnny Mandel, and her idol Peggy Lee. Joining her is an all-star lineup of longtime colleagues including clarinetist/tenor saxist Ken Peplowski, vibraphonist Chuck Redd, pianist John DiMartino, drummer Alvin Atkinson, and her older sister Lisa, a veteran of the all-female Diva Jazz Orchestra, on alto and baritone saxes.
