Blue Note 45 RPM - Analogue Productions Reissues
How can Blue Note Records - maybe the most famous jazz label of all time - be left out of plans to align the best jazz records with the best means for audiophile sound? It can't, of course. And so Acoustic Sounds' own reissue label, Analogue Productions - the same label that brought you the Fantasy 45 Series - is now reissuing 25 cherry-picked Blue Note titles to be released throughout 2008.

Blue Note Prints
What other legendary label has artwork as collectible as the actual records? These long historically famous session photos from Francis Wolff are absolutely gorgeous and make for the perfect supplement to your Blue Note Records collection. From 1939 to 1967, Wolff photographed nearly every Blue Note session. He's as responsible for how we remember the look of John Coltrane as Rudy Van Gelder is for how we remember the sound. While Wolff never considered himself a master photographer, history certainly remembers him as one of the few great jazz photographers. Wolff died in 1971, but many of his thousands of images have been established as classics.
Each numbered print is part of a limited edition of 500, and will not be reprinted. The image is 10" x 10," printed on 11" x 17" acid-free paper with archival pigment inks. Acoustic Sounds Series Subscribers may request the print number matching their numbered-edition albums.
These Museum-quality fine art print are made with archival pigment inks on 100% acid-free rag paper.

Early Analogue Productions Reissues - Low Number LPs
These are among the very first reissues by the now-highly-esteemed Analogue Productions label. Most of these killer recordings are from the Vanguard and Fantasy catalogs and were mastered by Doug Sax or Stan Ricker. Production ceased on all of these records as long as 10 years ago. Back when these reissues debuted, we put the first 100 numbered-editions aside. Now, we're making them available, and we're offering many of them for lower than the original retail price. But don't wait. There aren't many of any of these titles left, and they won't last long.

MS Music
MSMusic Productions is a new and very exciting label. All of these titles were mastered at AcousTech by Kevin Gray and Steve Hoffman and pressed on 180-gram vinyl at Record Technology, Inc. The sound on each of these releases is simply stunning. Here at Acoustic Sounds, we initially thought that these titles sounded a little tired. We weren't over thrilled with their prospects. However, after listening to Donovan and the Deep Purple live set, we're fully converted. These will hold a proud place in your collection. Let's hope MSMusic keeps it going.
"As with The Searchers vinyl compilation issued by MS Music, Storyteller is a winning set both musically and sonically. The AcousTech lathe is on a roll!" - Michael Fremer, musicangle.com

Sealed Soundtracks
We've told you about the massive 30,000-LP pre-owned collection we acquired late in 2007. And now we're ready to offer the first grouping from that collection. It's taken months to unpack, shelve, price and list these LPs, but we're making headway. These 1,200+ SEALED soundtracks are just the beginning of all that's to come. In the next several months, we'll be listing jazz, pop, classical, folk, etc. In the meantime, have a look at the these soundtracks - all sealed, all pre-1982, all pre-digital, all pre-bar code.
