Doug MacLeod has been a widely acknowledged electric blues guitarist for many years putting in solid road time with the likes of Big Joe Turner and Pee Wee Crayton. As leader of the Doug MacLeod Band, he has a number of U.S. and European tours and several albums to his credit. Doug disbanded the group to focus all his energies on his first love, acoustic blues. Come To Find is the remarkable fruit of that effort. It is the sound of a consummate bluesman touching the core of his art in a program featuring ten originals by Doug. He is beautifully supported in this intimate setting by harmonica ace Charlie Musselwhite and the Mighty Flyer rhythm section, Jimi Bott and Bill Stuve.

I ordered this album after I heard from a friend that the title track song "Come to Find" is worth buying the CD. Upon receiving the bunch of cds in my mail, I picked the Doug Macleod disc and immediately slapped it on my cd player's tray. Over my excitement, I didn't skipped tracks to the title song but just pressed play. From the first track up to the last track, the whole album did not disappoint. The quality of the recording is just breathtaking... the music? Well, let's just say I'm now a certified "true-blue" blues fan! Here's my suggestion to those who doesn't dig the blues, give this album a listen and you'll "see" what I mean.
