I was disappointed with this download in terms of sound quality. Maybe its just not a good sounding album, but why pay extra for DSD then? Playback was through Chord Mojo/Poly portable player.

A great album with EXCELLENT sound!

I bought this DSD album a few days and listened to it the other night on my AKG K553 headphones using the Oppo HA-2 amp/DAC (and my phone as the source).

The sound quality was SPECTACULAR all the way through. A lot of great songs here, with 2 big hits (Rocketman and Mad Hatters), and a bunch of cool obscure tracks (pretty much every other song lol) too. I had an mp3 version of Mad Hatters and compared it to the DSD one found here. You could tell within seconds that the DSD version sounded MUCH better. It just sounded cleaner, smooth, better vocal and I think drums were better too, etc.

I'm very happy with this purchase, and HIGHLY recommend buying this album in DSD!

My first DSD, this one's good.

I've been buying 24x192 files as much as I can, and this is my first DSD. I'm playing my files through a Sony NW-ZX2 and PMA-3 amp with Sony MDR-27 head phones. This record is great in this format. The sound stage and definition are exceptional.
