The Blade Runner soundtrack was composed by Vangelis for Ridley Scott's 1982 film considered one of the finest sci-fi movies ever made. It is mostly a dark, melodic combination of classical compositions and synthesizers which mirrors the futuristic film noir envisioned by Scott. The soundtrack holds legendary status and at the time was well-received by fans and critics including Best Original Score nominations for a BAFTA and Golden Globe yet, except for a few cuts, it was not released until 1994.
The movie remains a classic film with a long list of popular movie stars including Harrison Ford, Daryl Hannah, Rutger Hauer, Sean Young, and Edward James Olmos, most of whom appear on this record in movie dialog samples mixed into the 12 tracks of nearly one hour of music. Vangelis makes each track flow into one another. The soundtrack features vocal contributions from Demis Roussos and the sax solo by Dick Morrissey on "Love Theme." The gatefold jacket includes many colorful stills from the film. Blade Runner is a timeless classic on film and now on 180-gram transparent red vinyl, plated and pressed at Quality Record Pressings, makers of the world's finest LPs!

I love this movie and was very excited to receive this album after I ordered it. I was not at all disappointed upon opening it. The whole package is beautifully done, and the vinyl is drop dead silent upon playback. The music by Vangelis is eerily wonderful and the dynamic range is utterly amazing! If you love the movie and love vinyl, you have to buy this!!!

I bought this because the vinyl looked cool and there was a lot of hype. I'd never heard this soundtrack before. I got it yesterday and played it just for the hell of it. I would describe it as 50% DSOTM and 50% Wet Dream (Richard Wright). Its really cool and doesn't use too much sampling from the movie.
The vinyl is the coolest red vinyl I've seen and there wasn't one click or crackle.
I'm very pleasantly surprised by this release. I do like the movie too. Saw it in the theater when it came out and I have the 5 blu-ray disk collection.
My wife even asked me, "What is this music?" She agreed that it was actually worth the $$.
Now I REALLY want to have one of the "biscuits"!!! Name your price.
I think there is going to be a SCAD too.
A Sonic Treat

Wow...this LP has tremendous dynamics and range. Dead quiet and simply stunning. This will be my go-to vinyl demo. The dialog samples from my favorite movie only add to the pleasure.
On the minus side, I had to put a mat under the transparent vinyl before my LT-30 would play it. A small price to pay!
