Miles Davis - Kind Of Blue

Kind of Blue is by far the most revered document in the history of jazz music as well as the most successful, and it has consistently lived up to its larger than life expectations. The band here was absolutely extraordinary, which alongside Davis included John Coltrane and Cannonball Adderley on saxophone, Bill Evans and Wynton Kelly on piano and the outstanding rhythm section of Paul Chambers on bass and Jimmy Cobb on drums. 

Davis would later sum the sessions up this way, "That was my gift, having the ability to put certain guys together that would create a chemistry and then letting them go; letting them play what they knew, and above it."
