| The good news is, the packaging and vinyl is superb. 4Lps cut at 45 pressed by Palais it seems (dead quiet vinyl). The LPs are in lined sleeves apart from the 4 seperate album covers inside and a 18" length of bubble-wrap goes around everything. You can assemble the package or leave the sleeves outside but in the box. Dymamics are suprisingly good, cutting is excellent. The bad news is, dynamics in the lower-mid range seem a little sucked out, but it's almost un-noticeable. Some compression exists, even a tad more than the CD (Some sections that go from loud to louder in some songs stay under that tight level). General sound quality is better than what could be expected; a huge workout for a subwoofer and amp. Just don't bother with 'Kill Em All', 'Lightning or 'Puppets' in this series; They were cut so loud and compressed, there's barely any music there to enjoy, just noise. This one's a cut above, and above many of pressings of Metallica's 'Black'. All around, a great effort, Bernie.
