This second helping from the sessions that produced the preceding Kid A will probably strike close listeners as a bit more structured, though it'll be difficult to determine whether that's simply because the peregrinations of the last album have prepared them for the trips to the outer limits taken here. Those expecting a U2-like return to tuneful, anthemic guitar-rock will have their hopes dashed upon a rock of colorful electronic experimentation and moody, studio-enhanced madness.

Amnesiac and the crying minotaur

Amnesiac with the symbol of a crying minotaur. Minotaur is the ancient legend of a beast at the center of a labyrinth. Amnesiac successfully captures the essence of this sad creature, lonely and lost in the walls of his life and city and associates. I often think of Kid A as the cold materialistic 1st world country.. then, Amnesiac is a version of Kid A based in a 3rd world Country. It takes your breath away. from the freezer to the frying pan. You must experience it.
