The Absolute Sound - 2013 Editors' Choice Awards

Among the most popular loudspeakers developed by audio pioneer Paul W. Klipsch, the classic Klipschorn®, La Scala and Heresy were contributors in the birth of the high-fidelity era. Still manufactured and sold around the world today, these legendary Heritage Series products were recently relaunched in honor of the company’s 60th anniversary. While the Klipschorn features minor cosmetic and functional revisions, the La Scala II adopts a new finished appearance and the Heresy III offers increased performance through various content upgrades.

The Heritage Series Heresy III three-way loudspeaker delivers an exceptionally "big" sound filled with the moving, emotional elements that make your music such an important part of your life. The efficient high frequency and midrange horn drivers as well as the reliable 12-inch bass woofer work together to create a very smooth, low distortion, dynamic sound. The Heresy III's sealed enclosure is available in a wide variety of rich wood finishes.

"A significantly-overlooked speaker. Rocks your brains out, but when you switch to classical or jazz, all the audiophile things we covet are there in spades. They're fast and rhythmically correct. You can see that I love 'em! Had I bought these speakers 20 years ago, I wouldn't have gone through 20 speakers." – Robby Hyde, Acoustic Sounds customer

I own two pair of Klipsch Chorus II's bought in Japan while in the military. I was looking for these to serve as rear speakers. I've auditioned countless brands of speakers and I know it comes down to individual preference, but it's hard to beat Klipsch speakers regardless of which model you buy. The mid-range and highs are ALWAYS present, and the base can pound walls with little power. I tend to favor higher sensitivity speakers versus those rated at around 88-90 because I not only want to hear what is being played, but feel it. The base presence in Klipsch speakers can make the windows in a house rattle--I know, I've done it, and my house is only 5 years old! Pick any type of music and you won't be disappointed. Obviously, the age of the recording will come into play, but if you are listening to a total digital recording, you suddenly have been given a seat right in front of the band and it feels that way from start to finish. If you want quality--BUY THESE!!!!

I have two pairs of Heresy's which I use as surround and rear speakers for my home theater system. They sound excellent and extremely clear and match the other speakers attached to my system flawlessly.
