"I always thought that 'special' wiring made a tiny almost imperceptible difference. If I were not hearing it, I would have continued with that opinion. The speakers sounded very good with the 20 cent wire; however, with the $12 wire (per foot plus terminations) they're almost a different set of speakers. The definition of voices and instruments is something else, not to mention the all around sound.
