Zeppelin wasted no time recording their fourth album, doing so between touring dates in support of Led Zeppelin III. With tracks laid down at Sunset Sound in Los Angeles and the short-lived Island Studios in London, as well as various English countryside locations, Led Zeppelin IV was destined to be the band’s greatest triumph yet. Song for song, it is virtually a compilation of their greatest hits. Possibly the biggest surprise yielded by the album was the overwhelming reaction to "Stairway To Heaven," a radio perennial and one of the greatest rock songs of all time.

I wish I bought the whole zep catalogue when it first came out, but the sound quality is worth the mark-up with all collectibility set aside. I am usually disappointed by these types of purchases and feel suckered by hype, but by the end of rock & roll I had a confident smile that was only further reassured that I had the best sounding Zeppelin format/pressing I would find. I bought III when $50 and was impressed, but not sure how I'd feel when paying 3X as much. I ordered Physical Graffitti the next day

Just got my copy today. AweSome record! Rocks on my KHorns! Pressing is nice and quiet when it should be. Drums on this record kick butt! Very highly recommended! (Yikes! That price is still going up!)

What a sad news: Now all LZ's titles reissued by Classic Records are officially gone out of print (you can't find any info on LZ's LPs on Classic Records' website anymore....), so go grab whatever you can before their prices are driven sky high!

The Zeppelin CD reissues have been mixed at best. I trusted Classic Records to get it right with the power and punch of the Zeppelin records I remember from when they first came out on vinyl. Classic did one better. The dead-silent 200g vinyl and great mastering job by Bernie Grundman make this the best version ever of this classic album. I don't consider myself a die-hard "vinyl is better" person, but Classic's reissues certainly make a strong argument for ye olde squiggly grooves.

Zep IV is great, It comes alive on this 200gm vinyl,A must buy,Rock & Roll gets u to shake your hips ,Stairway to heaven gives u a feelin right in your chest!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Not only is this one incredible collection of music from arguably one of the best rock bands ever, the way the music sounds nearly defies description. Yes, it is that good. I plan to obtain the rest of the collection on 200 gram vinyl, after all my CD's are now in the trash.
