"These are the best vinyl releases of RCA LPs I've yet heard." — Jonathan Valin, executive editor, The Absolute Sound

Hailed as one of the greatest - perhaps the greatest violinists of this century — Jascha Heifetz delivers what is considered an unequaled performance of Tchaikovsky's beloved concerto. Conductor Fritz Reiner and the Chicago Symphony Orchestra, in top form, provide the perfect context for Maestro Heifetz's dazzling performance. The original 3-track session tapes were used in mastering for LPs and SACDs.

Side 1
1. First Movement: Allegro moderato

Side 2
2. Second movement: Canzonetta: Andante
3. Third Movement: Finale: Allegro vivacissimo

I've heard this performance since I was a kid, and have now purchased it a minimum of 5 times, including the Red Seal CD issues. But, from the moment the stylus engaged the groove, I knew it was something special. Not a click, bump, bit of noise anywhere...I doubt if any transfer of this could be better. I literally wanted applaud when the record finished. So many thanks!
