The Planets, a classical music album by the Vienna Philharmonic Orchestra conducted by Herbert von Karajan. Released in 1962 on Decca. Herbert von Karajan, the legendary Austrian-born conductor, recorded for Decca during the 1950s and 1960s. This famed performance of Gustav Holst's The Planets, Op. 32 and Edvard Grieg's Music from Peer Gynt Suite No. 1 & 2 was recorded at the Sofiensaal in Vienna on Sept. 5-22, 1961.
