Terry Evans is one of the most soulful male singers around today. Evans has been featured on numerous recordings with such notable artists as John Fogerty, John Lee Hooker, Rosanne Cash, Boz Scaggs, Joan Armatrading, Dave Alvin, Burton Cummings, Maria Muldaur, Pops Staples, Van Dyke Parks and Marvin Gaye among others. Evans has also put his personal style on four critically-acclaimed solo albums. In addition, Terry Evans has teamed with Ry Cooder to provide backing vocals on several albums and in his live band. Terry was the lead singer and featured guitar player on the Crossroads movie soundtrack. Given that Terry Evans' sound is deeply rooted in the blues of the Mississippi Delta, Mississippi Magic is the perfect title for his fifth solo album.
