Vandersteen - Five Driver Loudspeaker with Integral Subwoofer Amplifier (pair) (Upgraded Model 5)

The Vandersteen Model 5 has been in production since February 1997. One of the many unique features incorporated into the Model 5 is complete upgradeability. Over the last few years, Vandersteen has been working on upgrading the Model 5's performance with the latest state-of-the-art technologies. That work is now complete. The Vandersteen Model 5A improves over the now-discontinued Model 5 with a regulated power supply for the subwoofer amplifier, a new trilaminar woven fiber cone and high efficiency magnet system for the 5's patented midrange driver, new alloy chassis and aero dynamic magnet system for the tweeter, refined crossover to manage the new midrange and tweeter, and extreme matching of crossover-to-driver interface of the midbass, midrange and tweeter in the Anechoic Chamber.
