2023 release from the Grammy-nominated songwriter-guitarist

"Poised and precise in her singing and ace guitar playing...Madison Cunningham might not conjure a comparison to Fiona Apple on first listen, but...with (her) wonderfully tangled imagery and cutting self-awareness, shows she's an heir to that queen's powerful throne." — NPR Music

"Not only is she a master of arranging inimitable indie rock gems, she's an incredible guitar player, period."  — Guitar

The highly anticipated new album from Madison Cunningham — Revealer — is out now.

"To me, ‘revealer' is the binding theme of the album," says Cunningham. "The hand that slowly chips away at the mirror in which you see yourself and the world and replaces it with the reflection that is most true." The album is full of confessions, intimations and hard truths-a self-portrait of a young artist who is full of doubt and uncertainty yet bursting with exciting ideas about music and life.

Revealer finds Cunningham working with Mike Elizondo (Twenty One Pilots, Gary Clark Jr.) as well as Tucker Martine (Neko Case, Sufjan Stevens) and longtime producer and collaborator Tyler Chester.

She has released a number of tracks from the album leading into the release, including "Life According to Raechel," "In From Japan," "Anywhere," and "Hospital," the latter of which reached No. 1 Most Added at both AAA and Non-Comm radio.

As its title suggests, Revealer — the new album by Madison Cunningham — is full of confessions, intimations, and hard truths the Los Angeles singer-songwriter-guitarist might rather have kept to herself. It's a warts-and-all self-portrait of a young artist who is full of doubt and uncertainty, yet bursting with exciting ideas about music and life, who has numerous Grammy nominations but still feels like she has far to go, who turns those misgivings into songs that are confident in their idiosyncrasies. It's also a rumination on music as a vehicle for such revelations, what's gained and what's lost when you put words to your innermost feelings.

Cunningham is fresh off the heels of a successful 2021 which found her opening for Harry Styles at his sold-out Madison Square Garden shows, writing an original song "Broken Harvest" for the NPR "Morning Edition" Song Project and later performing the song on The Late Late Show with James Corden.

Cunningham's list of champions continues to grow including Harry Styles, Remi Wolf, John Mayer, Alessia Cara and Sara Bareilles. The artist first picked up a guitar at age 7, and by age 12 was singing and performing alongside her five siblings in church. By the age of 15, Cunningham realized songwriting was a passion she wanted to pursue, citing Joni Mitchell and Bob Dylan as key inspirations.
