Expanded edition on double LP
The complete JATP performances of Ella Fitzgerald issued by Verve on various albums are here in one dynamic live 2LP set featuring some of the greatest musicians of all time. The collection includes concerts from 1949, 1953 and 1954 and features appearances by Charlie Parker, Lester Young, and Hank Jones among others. Newly remastered.
This 2LP set is an updated version of its first vinyl release in Verve's original Jazz At The Philharmonic archival series, now matching the expanded CD edition issued in 2016. Included are jaw-dropping interpretations of "Oh, Lady Be Good!," "Lullaby Of Birdland" and the jam session "Flying Home." Includes an essay by Will Friedwald.
