This LP easily stands out. It's a significant improvement in every way detail, depth and organic for lack of better words. I'm very pleased to have this release.

Posted Sunday, December 15, 2024 by Ron (from Canada) I bought Nancy Sinatra's original "Sugar" album what seems like a hundred years ago. I loved it. In fact, it hardly left our record player. My Dad felt the LP was glued to the turntable. (hahaha) This re- issue released by LITA (Light In The Attic) Records is fantastic. From the (gatefold) packaging to the vinyl LP itself, Nancy never sounded better. In fact, if my wife and I didn't know better, we'd swear Nancy Sinatra was in our living room singing in "live" performance. One more "note" (pardon the pun) about the album cover. Frank Sinatra (who owned Reprise Records at the time) was not happy about his daughter posing in a bikini.So Frank & Nancy made a compromise. The photo on the original "Sugar" album was blurred. But not this time. LITA Records re-issued this album with a clear picture of Nancy on the cover. How Sweet It Is !!!

If you have that there is no need for the Sacd Version. I think the Japan version sounds a lot better. The reason, No DSD was used to transfer it to cd.

Posted Saturday, October 5, 2024 by Jake C I want to give this 4 stars because it came out of the package with visible fingerprints and a light scuff. Nice "QC", guys. Definitely a MoFi issue and *not* an Acoustic Sounds issue. At least MoFi has stopped adding the folded marketing inserts which undoubtedly add to their infamous problems with seam splits on the jackets.

I am forced to give 5 stars, however, as this is simply a stunning effort. This is easily one of the most impressive- sounding records in my collection. The clarity, separation, soundstage, and life in the recording are just all-around impressive, add to that the deep black backgrounds and I just have to say the $60 was money well-spent. I would happily use this as a reference recording to show off the capabilities of my system to guests.

Reference mastering

Posted Thursday, April 4, 2024 by Anonymous Comparing the earlier audiphile effort (DCC Gold cd / Steve Hoffman) this mastering can easily be better than that which widely considered to be a reference mastering among the audiophiles - to date. This has smoother, parallelly rich-in-detaills sound. Hardly any trace of a "forced digital processing" especially in treble. Eliminated distortion. Beautiful vocal sound. Sounds smoother than DCC Gold cd.. Airy and easy "light as feather" - very pleasant listening. Congrats Mr. Britton!

I in fact bought a copy at a local store and it had a little more noise. I took it back for refund. I no longer have the original lp to compare to. Reviewed on Rega Planner 3 with upgraded power supply through Moon phono preamp to NAD receiver out to Dynaudio Excite X44 speakers.

Granted, not in step with his usual style but a top shelf collection of songs in my humble opinion. I got into this release after hearing "It's in the Way that You Use It" from the movie, "The Color of Money". After I brought it home, way back in the mid-80's, there were many tracks as good or better. "Run" and the duo with Tina Turner, "Tearing Us Apart" are awesome! My original copy was worn out, so I bought this one as a replacement. As usual, Acoustic Sounds did not disappoint, and the quality was impeccable. Flat, quiet and rich soundstage! I've never been disappointed with anything I've purchased here, and "August" was no exception.

It's a reminder of how well constructed a lot of their songs are. The remastering is excellent, and the surface noise on my copy is minimal. I kept pumping the volume up because that's the way this music wants to be played!! Thumbs up all the way

Posted Thursday, October 12, 2023 by Anonymous I bought "canciones para mi padre" years ago in a cd format for my wife, who loves Mexican folklore music. To my surprise, I found out Linda released her album on vinyl. So, I immediately decided to purchase it.

This is an album for "music lovers" specially if you like vocals. The musical arrangements are superb, and the players are regarded as being at the top of Mexican music. Regardless of your taste, It is an album that will drag you into the music thanks to the incredible, lovely linda's voice. It is the same as if you do not care much for Rock music, but you have to have "The Dark Side of the Moon."

In addition to all this, the album is mastered by Bernie Grundman. So, I can hear a much wider range of the instrumentation in relation to soundstage, and of course the mid range is clear and sharp, and you can hear more detail compared to the cd format.

The album is flat, and it comes with its lyrics and an anti-static inner sleeve.

Posted Tuesday, October 3, 2023 by William I decided to take the leap, despite owning most of ELP's studio albums, because I've liked most most of the albums I've purchased with half- speed mastering (early Who, Roxy Music/Avalon, some Stones, etc.). In short, ELP never sounded better. Thumbs up on the mastering job. It's got punch, clarity, and separation. The Barbarian blew me away.

This album always have more high frequencies as Selling England by the pound (witch I prefer for sound recording). My copy is very quiet and I am very happy with this purchase. I had ordered other 180g pressing here but some crack and pop are audible, this pressing quality is excellent, nothing to say, go and buy it.
