Soundstage has excellent clarity and depth. Stereo landscape is broad and well defined. Imaging and layering is top notch. Excellent recording.

Was a pretty clean copy, just a few clicks, ticks & pops even after a bath on the VPI. For me a new record should be nothing but music. Was Tolerable. I in fact bought a copy at a local store and it had a little more noise. I took it back for refund. I no longer have the original lp to compare to. Reviewed on Rega Planner 3 with upgraded power supply through Moon phono preamp to NAD receiver out to Dynaudio Excite X44 speakers.

When this record came out in 87, it was crammed onto a single vinyl disc and sounded pretty thin. The CD was better, but not by a lot. This remaster is really impressive in terms of sound quality and depth. Now that it is spread out over 4 sides, the tracks have a more consistent sound quality. This is a nice clean pressing with very little noise and well worth the money.

The output seems to be really low on this release (European) and this one is being sold in the US for some reason versus the US release. Had to turn my amp up from 9 o'clock to 11-11:30. Packaging is nice and record is flat.

I have collected over 20 Honky Chateau pressings from 1st press UK and 1st press US and Canada and other later pressings, always searching for the best sonic and cleanest/quietest results and this 2017 pressing beats them all - simply put the remastering is a dream come true and when combined with the improved pressing quality, this is a 'must have' along with all other early EJ LPs which were remastered to vinyl starting in 2014 with GBYBR. Strangely, these are not available on CD or streaming yet - except the 50th Ann Madman release. Hmmm. Vinyl is the way forward for now.

If you love this album and don't have a clean copy that hasn't been battered by time and teenage fandom, get this! It has punch, it has warmth, it has the Edge up and front, and the Eno/Lanois production really shines. Thanks and great work!

I love this compilation. It has great songs from the 60s and early to mid 70s. The music sounds great and the equalization is very well done. The only thing that is missing is their 80s hits like “in your wildest dreams“ which I am surprised they didn’t put on this. Pick it up.

This is a gorgeous album from start to finish. Ms. Lieberman's original songs are charming, and her performances of the jazz standards are amongst the best that I have ever had the pleasure to hear. If it wasn't for Acoustic Sounds I would not have known that this gem of an album had even been released (a month ago). Thanks for shining the spotlight on this beautiful album.

This is the best repress of an album I have heard. Absolutely stunning.I have an early original pressing of the album in very good condition but with a few clicks so I thought I would compare the two.I actually think this 1/2 speed master is better. The music comes through unaltered (just like the original) which is always my preference in a remaster but it has better timbre and resonance, great detail and is crystal clear. Miles Showell at Abbey Road and Craft have done a great job with this recording. I wish they would do the entire collection of Beatles, Stones, Who, Elton John, Queen, Pink Floyd....and more. I'm all in on this. Thanks also to acoustic sounds for bringing it to us.

This re-issue is pretty dang good. The packaging is what really impresses me. The inner sleeve, picture labels, and the jacket are as close to the original as you can get. The vinyl is a pinkish red color...but actually sounds better than most of the re-presses that have been done over the years. very quiet! This one's a winner for sure! If you don't want to fuss with finding a MINT original, this one will make you very happy...
