Posted Tuesday, March 21, 2023 by Tony As I write this review I am listening to Aqualung I’ve had this sacd in every format love this lp.I’m playing it on a state of the art system.trust me when I say this.Bought this lp in about 1971 sounded good back then fast forward to today and it sounds amazing $35.00 dollars sounds like a lot of money for a sacd but it’s worth every penny buy it don’t hesitate just do it you will love it just like I do. Takes you back to when music was music not the crap going around today.

Now in 2023 I have a killer sound system trust me when I say that.I’m listening to this sacd as I write this there are not enough words to describe what I’m listening to if you know this lp buy it you won’t be disappointed.don’t hesitate just buy it.

The 180g vinyl is perfectly flat and plays with dead silence. When the first guitar note of "Born on the Bayou" was played, I had chills and was transported back to being 9-10 years old listening to the original release! The sound stage is excellent on all tracks! The reproduction of the jacket and the original Fantasy Label was dead on! This pressing is superb in every way. Glad to have it in the collection!!

You won't find a weak song on the album. Blood Harmony demonstrates Larkin Poe's interest in moving forward with new sounds and textures while developing themes associated with the American South in the very best of the southern rock and blues traditions. I highly recommend this album to anyone who is a fan of the blues and blues based rock.

It's kind of strident sounding and vocals can be a bit brash at times. However, there is nothing wrong with this release, that's exactly how the original pressings sounded so...this is a fantastic re-issue of the original recording just as I remember it sounding. Fantastic material, but just not the same sound quality as BLOOD ON THE TRACKS.

It's a huge step up comparing to standard edition.

I have only one trouble: original album, last track "something in the way" has some serious sound distortions in the right channel. Otherwise it's a very good sounding record.

The vinyl is dead silent, not one pop or click on either side. Low level detail is present, textures and images are revealed upon close attention. Musically very enjoyable — sometimes less is more. If this cost 150 dollars and packaged as a UHQR I would not question it. It is that good.

A Bd first press to the UHQR and just like Can’t Buy A

Thrill great balance, clarity,separation,and detail.

Vinyl is flat and silent. Larger soundstage and overall

greater dynamics. Playing on a pretty resolving system

as well. I’m so glad Bernie’s hearing is still great and glad he

got a chance to improve these. Tapes must have been

in decent shape as well

Could not be more thrilled

Dynamics,clarity,and analog like realism in every aspect along with no digital artifacts. Much better than my Redbook issues for sure. I'll be getting the whole AP sacd Steely Dan catalog as they are released. They are the best on any digital format I've heard. Excellent job and totally recommend them for All the Dan fans who appreciate the band's obsessive studio quality.
