Posted Thursday, April 3, 2008 by Anonymous Cutouts are provided for the VPI tonearms and advanced pully motor. I am using the standard drive motor that is supplied along with the Aries 2 along with a Rega 600 arm resulting a large opening over the standard motor and another over the area where a VPI tonearm in the rear would be. The only problem I have is that I must put clear tape over these openings to stop the dust. This is not Ginkos or VPIs falt. Just be aware.....

Awesome cover, cheapo stick-on rubber feet

4 Stars
Posted Sunday, August 19, 2007 by Anonymous This is an awesome cover, clean lines and well made. It adds significantly to the look of my table when not in use. My one beef is that it comes with cheapo stick-on rubber feed to stick on the corners. While most may not need any kind of foot, my equipment stand has a glass platform and I wanted to avoid scratches. The rubber feet fall right off after a few times of use. I am currently using some stick on cork feet, but I'm sure there are better alternatives. Anyhow, if it weren't for the rubber feet this cover would easily receive my 5 rating.

Make Your Turntable Look Like A Museum Piece!

4 Stars
Posted Wednesday, June 6, 2007 by Peter I am very happy with this Ginko acrylic cover for my VPI Scout turntable.

It was news to me that the era of hinged dust covers ended a long time ago! But there are a few choices on protecting an expensive turntable from dust or little children.

This product is attractive but in my opinion, perhaps due to its size, the result is slightly pretentious. My turntable now looks like it is sitting in a museum case! Well that's ok. So far all my friends are pretty impressed.

This cover fits nicely on top of the table, it has cut-out areas for cables and for hand holds. One must take a certain amount of care to not bump the arm when removing the cover but it's no big deal. I don't think you could try to use this cover while playing a record.

Perhaps a rumor, but I think I heard that there may be a cheaper alternative: there perhaps is a template at some "Tap Plastics" stores (California) where something similar could be made to order.
