I like the recording, but did not expect the panning to be so radical: it sounds like as if my speakers are turned not to me, but L to the left and R to the right, making a huge gap in the middle... I can't blame the recording though, especially that Coleman's alto and Cherry's trumpet are in the same channel, probably it was done historically and you can't separate them. However, the sound realism is great: the bass is deep and clear, cymbals are distinct yet not agressive, and trumpet's surdine is full of harmonics (or overtones)...
