Best Audio Purchase Ever

5 Stars
Posted Saturday, May 15, 2021 by Len R For sake of comparative context, over the years I have owned B&W 803 and 805, Harbeth C7s and SL5+, Sonus Faber Cremona Auditor M and Olympica Nova I, and more.

The Spendor Classic 2/3 are hands down the most musically satisfying speaker that I have ever owned and potentially end game. These are smooth and forgiving speakers with enough detail, imaging and soundstage to satisfy your audiophile needs.

After 30 yrs, I am now done chasing the technically perfect system. If you are tired of churning out gear, go with the Spendor Classic and call it a day.

Associated Gear: Conrad Johnson Premier 12s and Act II and EF1, Bryston BDP2 and BDA3, Marantz SA11S3 and VPI Scout with MIT Speaker Cables and Siltech Interconnects.

Great entry point into horn speakers...

5 Stars
Posted Tuesday, December 17, 2019 by Anonymous The CW IV is a huge step up from the previous CW III in all areas especially the midrange treble accuracy. These are the first Klipsch speakers I've considered owning, Roy Delgado's best redo of the heritage line. Jump factor in spades and real bass weight that properly fleshes out rock, blues and jazz music. It brings the performance into your listening room like you've not experienced at this price. Highly recommended.

Fortissimo!

5 Stars
Posted Saturday, September 30, 2017 by Frédéric Forte III are brilliant speakers. They are neither harsh nor fatiguing speakers at all but rather detailed and revealing. Soudstage is really deep and air is around all instruments. Radiohead sound generally blurred on most loudspeakers. With FIII you understand the intention of the studio mixing and forget the compressed sound of their records. With Charles Dutoit directing Camille St-Saens "danse macabre", the 99 dB/w/m creates a great dynamic range and impact. Dave Brubeck -Take five- is played with a great authority. Melanie Di Biasio vocal is mesmerizing...Kei Koito performing Ciacona in D minor at Pfarrkirche St. Katharina produces sub bass shaking my room. Should I write a con? Ok, just one, Miles Davis trumpet has not the last word on FIII. You could miss the silky texture of more "fat" speakers.

Heritage ROCKS

5 Stars
Posted Sunday, November 20, 2005 by Anonymous I have heard this speaker at the Klipsch engineering lab in Hope Arkansas. Being an owner of both home and industrial versions of the earlier LaScala speakers I was already a fan.

Klipsch has upped the ante this time, with heavy 1" MDF in the bass bin to tame cabinet vibrations and help propel low bass notes forward. Horn is the venerable 400 Hz cutoff for a very musical soundstage and the K77 tweeter is also upgraded as is the crossover network. This is a monster speaker with 104 db/watt efficiency rating and very capable of handling peaks of 200 watts. Fantastic sound for critical stereo listening or Home Theatre useage.

The furniture grade cabinet, previously available only in unfinished birch, black or industrial varieties, has been given a beautiful real wood veneer treatment for placement in the home environment. For easy movement, the top section is removable, and the LS sports a new riser base.

Well done Klipsch!
