Incredible!

Posted Sunday, December 7, 2025 by Rick I've been a fan of JM since the early 70s, and this album adds another outstanding milestone to his illustrious career. This record takes you across many different musical genres, from jazz to fusion to ballad to funk and back again. Just when you think you've already heard the best song on the album, the next scene starts and you realize you were wrong. Yes, I am a huge fan of John McLaughlin, and this record makes me realize why!

Impex did a wonderful job with everything...the sound, the pressing, and the awesome album jacket. Bravo!!

Not enough stars, quite frankly best the best vinyl record ever made

Posted Wednesday, April 17, 2024 by Wised I thought the Patricia Patrcia Barber's Cafe Blue one step release was the best vinyl ever produced. This one step pressing Of Getz and Gilberto's masterpiece is a religious experience. I own the 33, the 45 and now this one. The 45 RPM version was extraordinary, this one has simply left me without words to adequately describe it, it is simply the best vinyl record ever made. Kudos to Impex Records, a great achievement indeed. Compared to the previous 45....incredible bass, even better soundstage, more transparency, more air, more delicate rendering, more, more, more! I thought the difference would be subtle given the original 45's excellence, it is not! You feel like if you were right in the studio's recording booth all those years ago! Every mouthing of the sax, the ring of the top hat, Astrud softly singing in your ear, it's almost sexual in the most intimate way....WOW

Posted Thursday, March 21, 2024 by William Taylor This is the way a piano should sound. Obviously, whoever recorded this knew how to accomplish the tricky challenge of recording piano. Thelonious never sounded better. This is a fun record and I'm pleased to have the definitive version of it.

Monk's Dream - Thelonious Monk

Posted Tuesday, February 19, 2013 by Anthony This is the second Impex record I have purchased, Miles In Person was the other. If these are any indications of their catalog, I would say this company is a resounding success! This record is dead flat and perfectly quiet with absolutely no noise of any kind. It beats my original in every way with astonishing fidelity. Even if you don't like Monk, and shame on you if you don't, you will love this record. WOW!

Dave Brubeck Quartet - Time Further Out: Miro Reflections Product No: AIMX 6002

Wow!

Posted Sunday, October 31, 2010 by Arturo When I was in my teens I used toget together with some friends and listen to Classical Music. Our favorite was Beethoven's Ninth and when we played it we always left it for last, we used to say "if we play it first, what would we listen to afterwards"? Well I'm going to say something blasfemous; I like this record a little better than "Time Out" and after playing it I was left with that old feeling, what can I play after this? The performance is excellent and the sound is fabulous. Buy this record, if you like Brubeck this is a must. Joe Morello is outstanding and Desmond shines. Wow!!
