Rolling Stone 500 Greatest Albums of All Time - Rated 41/500!

The Sex Pistols' only studio album, 1977's Never Mind the Bollocks, was called, "just about the most exciting rock & roll record of the Seventies" in Rolling Stones' original review. A quarter-century later, with none of the album's scathing fury and massive influence diminished, the magazine ranked it No. 41 on its list of the "500 Greatest Albums of All Time" and rightly deemed it, "the Sermon on the Mount of English punk."

Britain in 1976 was a country divided by class and deeply wounded by industrial unrest and unemployment. The music industry was almost comatose and the effect was over-blown supergroups producing self-indulgent "progressive rock." Consequently, the stage was set for four working-class, individualistic and dispossessed teenagers to create chaos and mayhem among the established order of the music business in 1977. They produced one of the most influential albums in rock music. They were the Sex Pistols.

  • Label of the disc is printed with a special green ink called 'Onsho Shiyou,' which minimizes diffuse reflection.
  • Carefully selected master audio is used, from existing DSD files to newly converted from analog tapes.

SHM-SACD format is fully compatible with standard SACD players but it does not play on standard CD players. SHM-SACD delivers unbelievably high-quality sound. Japanese import.
