Mastered from the original Epic Records tapes by Joe Reagoso at Friday Music Studios!

Released in 1976, Jeff Beck's Wired contains some of the best jazz-rock fusion of the period. Wired is generally more muscular, albeit less-unique than its predecessor, Blow By Blow. Joining keyboardist Max Middleton, drummer Richard Bailey and producer George Martin from the Blow By Blow sessions are drummer Narada Michael Walden, bassist Wilbur Bascomb and keyboardist Jan Hammer.

With legendary tracks such as Charles Mingus's "Goodbye Pork Pie Hat," and Jan Hammer's "Blue Wind," Wired soon became a radio and retail staple which has truly endured and stood the test of time.

8. Come Dancing

Maybe George Martin had the flu that month. This is a kooky mix, especially on the rocking tunes. No mastering can help that. The lighter tracks sound much nicer. On this re-master, the hi-hats don't freak out like it does on every U.S issue I've heard. I notice a little bloat in the low mids when the arrangements are more dense, but the mix is so compressed (in a 70's way. not brickwalled) that maybe they were thinned out on previous masterings. That said, this is the best I've heard this album on LP or CD (I still haven't heard an original U.K.). The vinyl is silent and centered. This is my first Friday Music purchase. If they continue with this level of quality, I will buy many more.

FANtastic Album!

I have recently returned to the world of vinyl and have a nice entry level hi-fi system at home. I found this album to be extremely quiet, flat, and warm. Beck comes alive and his guitar is captured brilliantly by Kevin Gray. I am excited to be able to listen to this recording again. I would wholeheartedly recommend this album to any fan of Beck's or any guitar lover.
