Brought my VPI HW 16.5 up a notch!! posted on 03/23/2024 5 Stars Reviewer: Shanedor90 So I had wanted a VPI HW 16.5 for years but wasn't willing to shell out the money for it. Then a month ago I snagged one on eBay for $500. When it came in it was in perfect condition except the old felt strips where falling off even after the previous owner had made a pretty poor effort to reattach them. So I took to finding a quality replacement. Enter Disc Doctor. I ordered these along with the pair of A size brushes. They came in today, I peeled off the old strips, these were a tad longer (Pro not a con!!), I scrubbed the wand clean of any old adhesives and carefully placed these on. Results: not only are these larger, thicker, and sticky like the dickens, after testing on records they come out drier, and clearly scrubbed clean! For a $17 investment not only did I replace worn out pads, I upgraded my machine AND have another set for when I get my second "Rinse" wand. I couldn't be happier.
