Released in July 2006 via the World Circuit label, Savane was Ali Farka Touré's final solo album, and a deeply resonant "farewell" work. Recorded in Bamako, Mali with his specially assembled down-home ngoni group, and often acclaimed as his finest album, Savane is both one of the most traditional and seemingly the most blues drenched of Ali's recordings. 2026 celebrates the 20th anniversary of this landmark album. To honor this milestone, World Circuit presents the album on limited edition yellow color vinyl housed in a gatefold jacket with 16-page booklet included.
