Limited numbered edition 180-gram 4LP box set!

Mastered from the original tapes at Emil Berliner Studios!

Schubert's Symphony No. 9 'Great' based on the 2810 half-speed remaster

"From beginning to end it is an incandescent performance, one which should always be available.
— praise for Schumann's Symphony No. 4 (Gramophone 1978)

A brilliant conductor, ingenious and controversial, whose artistry was deeply rooted in the tradition of Romantic idealism, Wilhelm Furtwängler's recordings bear witness to an artist capable of revealing fresh insights into even the best-known compositions.

His few post-war recordings for Deutsche Grammophon are benchmark interpretations which have assumed cult status in the panoply of legendary recordings on the Yellow Label: Haydn's Symphony No.88, Schubert's 'Great' C Major Symphony, and Schumann's Fourth, alongside Furtwängler's own monumental Second Symphony. These are collected together in a limited and numbered vinyl edition, mastered to the exacting standards of Emil Berliner Studios.

All records have been made from masters of the original tapes as 180-gram pressings, and each comes with its own sleeve modeled on the original record sleeves. As a bonus, the box contains facsimiles of the original recording logs.
