Great, Thoughtful Album - Better Sound Than CD

This is Pat's best album, in my opinion, since Tap. And compared to the CD, this is more dynamic. You do have to crank this one, as it WAS cut low.

There are many mesmerizing cuts here, some are ones that build up, others ones of quiet beauty. A great album up with his best.

My copy was recorded at an annoyingly low volume which seems to affect the dynamic range. Although I enjoyed the music, I'll have to say that I miss Lyle Mays on keyboards. He and Metheny had a great synergy. I'm picking nits, but I don't like double albums without a gatefold.

Another great album by Pat Metheny; excellent recording quality too. Pat continues to remain fresh/relevant/timeless and creative.

In addition, I really dig the drum work of Antonio Sanchez!

Of course the symphony and the rest of Pat's band are outstanding also -- top notch-- and over his colorful and talented musical career, that's what we've come to expect from Pat Metheny's genius.

The cover art is both ominous and intriguing.

As usual, Chad's staff, service and packaging were excellent!
