Soundsmith - Norma Ruby cantilever and Nude CL stylus
Boasting an OCL stylus attached to a single crystal ruby cantilever, the Norma dances right through the most complex musical passages. This Medium Compliance & Output cartridge, while sophisticated, is still compatible with a wide variety of tonearms and medium gain phono-stages. Handmade in New York State-the Norma can go toe-to-toe with cartridges costing three times the price.
Soundsmith medium output cartridges require a minimum load of 1500 Ohms, and may be used all the way up to 47K Ohms. The capacitive loading is not terribly critical, but does have an effect. Anything from 100 – 400 Pf will help tune it a bit.
