Vinyl reissue of the only album released by the psychedelic hard rock band Dryewater from Charlotte, North Carolina. Originally only 500 copies were pressed, many destroyed at the time by the group itself due to poor sales. Psych hard rock with good timbre of electric piano combined with good guitar playing, hard sounds but raised in the wide open spaces of the sweetest Appalachian Hills most acustomed to country and folk, with good vocal harmonies.
A fine example of the harder West Coast sound of the time. Check out the melodic "Don't Let Her Sleep Too Long," the riff-heavy Track 2 "Trouble," and rolling rhythms of Track 10 "After All (I Ain't Sleepy)." Dryewater were certainly overlooked at the time; now this highly-regarded release among collectors of early '70s U.S. rock is back on vinyl for the masses to enjoy!
