"This is Clark at the height of his poetic powers, wading deep into the psyche of desire, enlightenment and redemption." — Luke Torn, Uncut
A founding member of The Byrds, Gene Clark composed the band's most essential originals, including "Fee A Whole Lot Better," "Eight Miles High" and "You Showed Me." The follow-up to Clark's undisputed masterpiece No Other, Two Sides features an all-star cast: Emmylou Harris, producer Thomas Jefferson Kaye (No Other), banjo virtuoso Douglas Dillard, country violin legend Byron Berline, Jeff "Skunk" Baxter (Doobie Brothers, Steely Dan), and pedal steel ace Al Perkins (Flying Burito Brothers, Bob Dylan, Rolling Stones).
This impeccably remastered album features a 16-page, full-color book replete with never-before-seen photos from Rock and Roll Hall of Fame photographer Ed Caraeff's archives.
At the last minute the Two Sides' LP DL card was disallowed by Universal Music Enterprises.
However, as a special treat for LP buyers, the DL card will feature exclusive, rare and unreleased material, that are not on the Two Sides To Every Story 2-CD set. The Download Card tracks will be available at the time of the CD release.
Thanks to Dan Hersch's remarkable mastering work, a full and rich nuanced recording emerges from the master tapes, improving upon from the sounds of the original 1977 pressing.
Truly a sonic revelation!
