Limited edition 180-gram LP

Mastered from the Original Warner Bros. Tapes by Joe Reagoso

Don and Phil Everly are most certainly two of the most important figures in popular music history. Whether rock, pop, adult contemporary or country music, The Everly Brothers have consistently rose to the occasion with their successful harmonies, musicianship, and of course the knack to pick songs and write their own material which has made them legends.

Their status has put them on world stages for over five decades. When the Everly Brothers joined the Warner Bros. label in the late 1950s, their marquee value was just beginning to skyrocket. A long term lucrative deal, unprecedented at the time, afforded the boys the real opportunity to churn out hit after hit in record time. Their greatest hits LP, simply titled The Golden Hits Of The Everly Brothers, showcased their star power in 1962. Filled with a dozen of their biggest hits like "Cathy's Clown," "That's Old Fashioned," "Crying In The Rain," "Ebony Eyes" and their classic interpretation of Little Richard's "Lucille," the album itself was another home run for the duo. It rode the charts for months during its initial release and has been a consistent seller in various formats since the original album was discontinued decades ago!

Friday Music kicks off The Everly Brothers 180 gram audiophile series with their greatest hits album The Golden Hits Of The Everly Brothers. This first-time-ever high grade audiophile vinyl release is mastered from the original Warner Bros. tapes by Joe Reagoso at Friday Music Studios and at Capitol Records with Ron McMaster. It also includes the brilliant album cover photography of Michael Levin and all of the great songs you remember including other major Top 40 smashes like "Don't Blame Me," "Walk Right Back" and the masterful ballad "So Sad." Friday Music has also enclosed a vinyl-lined album sleeve to protect the music and a poly bag for the album.
