Earl Hooker was regarded by most everyone in the blues know as the most talented blues guitarist of the 1950s, '60s and '70s. He was to electric guitar what Little Walter was to harmonica. The problem was that he didn't sing much and therefore wasn't attractive to record companies. So as time has passed, and as those who were around to witness Hooker's greatness firsthand have passed, the legend of Earl Hooker has become obscure. That's what makes this reissue so vitally important. Anyone who cares to educate themselves on blues history needs to know and understand the story of Earl Hooker. More importantly, anyone who cares to hear incredible guitar, needs to hip themselves to Earl Hooker, a true virtuoso.

This is Hooker's exceedingly rare Cuca Records release from 1967 – instrumental blues at its best!
