The Staple Singers were an American gospel, soul, and R&B singing group. They are best known for their 1970s hits "Respect Yourself," "I'll Take You There," "If You're Ready (Come Go with Me)," etc.
This is the soundtrack for the Bill Cosby/Sidney Poitier film Let's Do It Again.
The main title song reached the top of the Billboard Hot 100 singles chart and spent two non-consecutive weeks at the top of the Hot Soul Singles chart. All tracks on this album were written by the legendary Curtis Mayfield
Fun fact: Ice Cube sampled 'Let's Do It Again' for the remix of 'It Was A Good Day' as did John Legend in his song 'Number One'.
