Their first LP in five years!
Puscifer have announced the release of their fourth studio album, Existential Reckoning. In advance of its October 30 arrival, the band has unleashed the album's second single, "The Underwhelming." Puscifer is the experimental music-and-performance-art collective spearheaded by Tool and A Perfect Circle frontman Maynard James Keenan
The experimental rock band's core lineup consists of vocalist Keenan (Tool), singer-keyboardist Carina Round, and multi-instrumentalist Mat Mitchell. For this album, they've also recruited Greg Edwards (Failure), and drummers Gunnar Olsen and Sarah Jones.
According to Keenan, the new album draws on "past influences for Mat and Carina and I." "Devo, Kraftwerk — it's all there," he told us in May. "B-52s, the old Talking Heads sensibilities — those are all written into our DNA at this point."
Existential Reckoning will arrive five years to the day that Puscifer released their last album, Money Shot. The new song "The Underwhelming" follows first single, "Apocalyptical," which was unveiled way back in May.
