Legendary hard rockers Deep Purple have prepared a real treat for their fans. The band is releasing a new series that uses very rare live recordings from the band's archive and focuses on three decades when the band toured the world, starting with an explosive show in Newcastle, Australia in 2001.
Some of these shows have previously been released as very rare fan club editions and others will be issued for the first time. All of these recordings were remastered in 2019 to ensure optimal audio quality. Roger Glover comments on the first chapter of this series: "After touring Australia in the early '70s, we returned to the guitar in 1999 with Steve Morse. Australia welcomed us in 2001 with open arms. That's why we came up with something very special for this evening: we invited several singers and a few brass players. It was a very special and unique gig."
