The soundtrack of this 1976 film classic was composed by Jerry Fielding, a three-time Oscar-nominated composer known for his work on gritty, often brutally savage Westerns. The highlight of the score is Fielding's adaptation of the famous Carmen suite by Georges Bizet, which plays in many key parts of the film.

The soundtrack will be available for the first time on LP, issued as a limited 1,000 unit release on yellow vinyl. The Bad News Bears was recently called the greatest baseball movie ever made by Rolling Stone magazine.

The Bad News Bears was directed by Michael Ritchie and starred Walter Matthau and Tatum O'Neal. The plot features an aging, down-on-his-luck ex-minor leaguer coaching a team of misfits in an ultra-competitive California Little League.
