Original master concert recording from November 10, 1969 previously unreleased, respectively released for the first time in 2016. A release in the WDR The Cologne Broadcasts series produced by Jazz historian Dr. Bernd Hoffmann. Edward Kennedy "Duke" Ellington (April 29, 1899-May 24, 1974) is the American composer, pianist, and leader of a jazz orchestra, which he led from 1923 until his death over a career spanning more than 50 years.

WDR (West German Broadcasting Cologne) is the German public broadcasting institution based in the Federal State of North Rhine-Westphalia with its main office in Cologne. Engineered by Rolf-Dieter Weyer and re-mastered by Dirk Franken. Liner notes by journalist and radio host Karsten Mützelfeldt in English and German.
