Back for 2018 at its home — The 21st Blues Masters at the Crossroads at Blue Heaven Studios in Salina!
Prepare for Kansas' premier two-night blues music festival — Blues Masters at the Crossroads, Oct. 26-27 in Salina, KS, at Blue Heaven Studios. We've booked another premier lineup!
Our musical bonanza debuts Friday night with the return of Grammy winner Bobby Rush! Hear Rush perform an acoustic set (in 2017 he appeared as part of the Take Me To The River — Memphis Soul and Rhythm & Blues Revue). We've also got the son of blues icon Muddy Waters — Mud Morganfield — with his own distinctive takes on blues, soul, R&B and more. Plus St. Louis bluesman Marquise Knox, and a showstopping performance by Bevery "Guitar" Watkins. Watkins, 79, through six decades of performing, has opened for Ray Charles, James Brown, BB King and other legendary musicians.
Friday night takes place once again at the church of the blues, the sonically unsurpassed Blue Heaven Studios. Those who've been here before know - with just 450 seats or so, the vibe is intimate and the performances up close and personal.
Friday night, Oct. 26, 2018
Doors open at Blue Heaven Studios at 6:45 p.m.; show starts at 7:15 p.m.
