Violinist Ida Haendel was born in 1928 in Poland and died June 30, 2020, in Miami, Florida. She was a child prodigy, and her career spanned more than seven decades. She was also influential teacher.

Originally released in 1976, this recording with the Bournemouth Symphony Orchestra conducted by Paavo Berglund, is 50 minutes worth of great clasical music.
