Oversized packaging

This oversized packaging is most likely a knee-jerk reaction to make it right. The Roxy box set that was released several years back ( The Complete Studio lps ) angered everyone who purchased it because the covers fit the lp's so tight. REALLY TIGHT ! Quality control FAILED. So this time they made sure that issue wouldn't happen again. I love the covers so much, it's perfectly fine with me !

5/5 For Pressing/Sound

As another reviewer noted, the jacket on this LP is slightly larger than normal - who knows why. That should not discourage prospective buyers from picking up this superbly-pressed title. The vinyl is perfectly flat and with no trace of surface noise, at least on the copy I have. The music emerges from a totally silent, black background. This betters my SACD of the same title in dynamics, soundstaging, and micro-detail - just a superb reissue in every way.

Sounds great, poor packaging

I was interested in what a half-speed master of this record would sound like as it's one of my favorites. Once I gave the record a good cleaning (plenty of dust and paper from the printed inner sleeve), I gave it a spin and the sound quality is there - sparkling highs and very extended soud- stage. What's odd is that the outer sleeve is oversized - hence it will not fit in the standard outer sleeves I use (2.5 mil Ultimate Outer from Sleeve City). What's with the odd size? Maybe because it was pressed in Czechoslovakia? It measures 12 3/4" square.
