A reissue of the 1972 star-studded symphonic performance by the London Symphony Orchestra of the first rock opera Tommy, written by Pete Townshend of (and for) The Who. Guest soloists include Roger Daltrey and John Entwistle from The Who as well as Ringo Starr, Steve Winwood, Merry Clayton, Sandy Denny, Richie Havens, Richard Harris and Rod Stewart as the Pinball Wizard.

Selling more than a million copies upon its initial release in 1972. this LP is remastered on double silver vinyl and includes a 20-page illustrated libretto. The Who are celebrating their 50-year legacy this year, and "The Who
Hits 50! Tour" begins its fall leg in September 2015.
