Mastered from the original analog master tapes

So popular was CCR worldwide that by 1970 the group was consistently scoring hits on both the A and B sides of its singles, a feat previously accomplished by Elvis Presley and the Beatles. This LP, released in November 1969, proved no exception, containing "Fortunate Son" and "Down On The Corner," the latter becoming one of CCR's biggest hits to date. Fogerty's fine gritty voice and his tight vocal overdubbing are standouts, along with his excellent renditions of "Cotton Fields" and "Midnight Special." Willy And The Poorboys remained on the Billboard charts for 60 weeks, scoring as high as No. 3 and garnering the group's third platinum LP.

Originally released in 1969.

I ordered this Analog Productions remaster from Acoustic Sounds and compared it with the 40th anniversary edition remaster. The AP one is definitely better, smoother, more musical.Sounds far more like the original LP I owned and remember. I never mind paying an few bucks more for a good product. Keep up he good work guys :):):)

One of the finest works of CCR. Fogarty at his best. A must have for any CCR fan. I bought both vinyl and SACD. Had to have it in the car.

yes, it is everything they say it is...you need it too.

This (and the other CCR disks from Analogue Productions) has become a staple in my SACD collection. It is everything that everyone says it is. Clarity abounds and the music is timeless. I don't need to review the songs as you have undoubtedly heard them, but, rest assured that you will not be dissapointed with how clean these fantastic disks are!!!
