Limited Collector's Edition on 180-gram vinyl

Expounding on the singer/songwriter concept that made Tea for the Tillerman so successful, Stevens turned in an album of great beauty that was both plaintive and uplifting. It was Teaser and the Firecat that brought Stevens superstar status and melodically and socially it stands as a wonderful companion to Tea for the Tillerman. Contains the hits "Peace Train," "Morning Has Broken" and "Moonshadow."

I own this import, which I purchased two weeks ago from the UK. It was carefully packaged and shipped, and the LP was sealed.

Friends, this pressing is sub-par. It’s full of background noise from the vinyl, and the ticks and pops are distraction. Worse, the handling of this LP at the pressing plant has left visible and audible damage.

I have photos of the LP from the day that I received it. It’s a wreck.

I would honestly beg Acoustic Sounds to acquire the rights and the master tapes and work their magic. I would buy this from QRP in a heart-beat.

@Chad Kassem, please consider this request.

Back to Black needs to try again. Do yourself a favor and find the old Audiophile A&M edition from Canada which is light years ahead of this. Profit vs precision.
