Absolutely beautiful performance by CTK. For the price of this album right now, you'd be a fool to pay for shipping. That's all I'll say. I cannot wait to play this on a snowy morning with a hot cup o joe. Everyone involved in this process did an outstanding job. Thank you for documenting this!

Poor live recording regardless of Direct to Disc

Seems like it was a great show, but the recording completely fails to pick up the energy - the room sounds cavernous and dead. For the price, I think its a good value and I really enjoy having a live Shins recording. but, any well record live CD blows this away.

Posted Saturday, December 3, 2011 by Bob Muir ....I used to follow John back in the 70's around Rochester in all the right dives....for the price of a beer you could see him free at the Cottage Hotel in Mendon, N.Y., 10 min. south of Rochester. This is an amazing recording. I still have an effort of his on Blind Pig Records, "Coming Your Way"...this recording process makes everything else sound like an 8 track in a Ford Galaxy....buy it and don't look back.

Dan's vocals are strong, but his back up singer is flat at times. Musicianship is good, although not a lot of excitement. But it is a very pleasing record to listen to because it sounds "real"...as most music today does not. I am glad I purchased this direct-to-disc. It is my first and I will most probably add others to my collection, as it is very nice to hear "real" for a change...

Surface noise

Posted Friday, August 8, 2008 by BRANDONH Good music and fun to listen to very realistic and detailed and would be really amazing if it were not for the surface noise. Which is shame because that's the whole reason for D2D. Whats the point other than the for sheer dynamics of D2D if the vinyl is noisy. All the aspects are there for an amazing record its 180g (though I don't think its virgin vinyl) 45 rpm direct to disc and a Bernie Grundman was involved all the right stuff on a noisy vinyl so I can only give it 3 stars for that
