This is my favorite SACD because the sound is awesome, and the compositions extraordinary. This is one of those musical experiences where, every time, you put down your reading, and just listen. It doesn't get any better than this!

I was eagerly awaiting this CD but dissappointed in finally listening to it. The CD requires a very high volume setting (in comparison to other SACD's I play, on my system to produce a low-to-moderate volume of music. The CD also starts with a slight "popping" sound before the music begins on the very first track. Much of the "hiss" from previous recordings has been eliminated, but the bass sounds very lethargic to me. I had expected much more from this issue.

First I got the DualDisc but was disappointed to find that the "enhanced" PCM sound is not high-resolution at all, and the 5.1 is unremarkable at best. The CD side is just poor altogether.

Since this re-issue was such a disappointment I have since purchased the SACD version but unfortunately I don't find that very satisfying either, in terms of sound quality.
