It took Jennifer Warnes five years to construct a follow-up to Famous Blue Raincoat, and she again came up with some excellent covers, including Todd Rundgren's "Pretending To Care" and The Waterboys' "The Whole Of The Moon," that may have been new to her listeners. And she got a song from Donald Fagen ("Big Noise, New York"). She also did some of her own writing and got participation from Leonard Cohen on "Way Down Deep." Produced by Elliot Scheiner, The Hunter, like Famous Blue Raincoat, enjoys masterful recording technique and now the incomparable Cisco Music treatment.

Mastered by Bernie Grundman and pressed at RTi on 180-gram virgin vinyl.

Sound is actually good. A couple of defects on the stamping,(loud distortion outburst). A little sibilant where lower quality stylus would definitely suffer from.

The Hunter is a MUST HAVE title!

If you were never really into JW in the 70's/80's, this album will convert you. Hands down one of Jen's finest moments and one that I can't seem to get tired of. Fidelity is TOP NOTCH and pressing is VERY audiophile!

A MUST-HAVE for any fine collection.

Amazing Artist
